Experience Design

Connection doesn’t happen on its own. I help you design for it.

From intimate dinner parties to elaborate scavenger hunts across town, I aim to transport and achieve collective effervescence. With three tiers of engagement, I become your thought partner in scheming gatherings, experiences, immersive spaces, interactive exhibits and/or guerrilla brand activations which harness the power of participants as co-creators of a space, embrace the unknown, and can handle the unexpected. I’m open to personal or public efforts, whether small or large scale, but work particularly well with themed, cross-genre, interactive artist-laden visions that aren’t afraid to get experimental and range from 8 to 200 in-person participants at a given time.

Testimonials

My experience design services are for you if:

⌾ You’re looking for a thought partner to design a unique, one-of-a-kind, human-centered experience that will take place once or on a recurring basis.

⌾ You want a robust design for your gathering or activation that invites interaction and gives participants the appropriate agency to co-create.

⌾ You’re an individual looking for a special event, a museum or nonprofit looking to activate a space in a new way, or a company who needs someone to pull off an immersive, guerrilla marketing effort.

⌾ You agree with Priya Parker that gathering is an art, and how we meet matters.

⌾ You are ready to explore new avenues of both hidden and embedded, as well as tangible and present, facilitation methods.

My experience design services are NOT for you if:

⌾ You’re looking for a traditional event planner who will follow a formula, organize the vendors, only coordinate day-of, and/or stands in the background and makes sure trash is taken out at the end of the night.

⌾ You want to maintain a status quo, established hierarchy, separate silos, or a feeling of bureaucracy.

⌾ You aren’t looking for your guests or participants to keep reminiscing about it long after.

⌾ You’re not ready to acknowledge that the best experiences aren’t for everyone all the time – they require curation to match the intended audience and purpose.

⌾ You hate play and are against anything hands-on.

Two Notes on Pricing

> While I value my work and deserve to be paid for it, as able, I will work on a sliding scale to help ensure my services are accessible to all. I field discount requests from BIPOC or minority-led companies or organizations, am open to potential service or material trades, and do provide pro-bono services for causes I care about.
