Attendee at “The Slaying” Buffy Themed Halloween Scavenger Hunt, October 2021

“What did I enjoy most? Every single moment. I loved getting team photos. I loved the immersive environment. I loved going around town and having to complete challenges. I loved partying with buddies for the first time in forever. I loved having booze and snacks and so many wonderful things to support party goers in having a special time. I loved the photo booth and seeing all the photos and special moments. The gifs in the wrap up email alone are amazingly priceless. So super cool. Every part of the night we felt like we were in a show or movie of our own. It also made up for all the bad proms of my past. And it was the queeriest, happiest prom I've ever been to, which was really fucking special. <3 and OMG the band! what!!! It was the most kickass party I have ever been to. No fucking doubt about it.”

George and Dona Reynolds, Retired Couple and Prior HR Managers

“Given our fifty years of marriage, we have had to make an incredible amount of important decisions. One of the very best decisions we made was to select Kate to plan, organize, and run our 50th wedding anniversary. It is virtually impossible to exaggerate how wise, skilled, organized, and empathetic Kate is. She flawlessly dealt with visitors from all over the nation and from foreign lands. Amazingly, she seemed to know what we wanted and needed before we told her. Every single decision she made was the right one. Her efforts were flawless and our many dozens of friends continually complimented her over the course of our three day event. Simply put, Kate is the finest event organizer we have ever encountered. We recommend her without hesitation or reservation. We owe her a great debt and we cannot thank her enough.”

Lucas Loredo, Dirty Dishes Supper Club Participant, March 2020

“Kate's facilitation is second-to-none. The Dirty Dishes supper club stands out as one of my absolute favorite events of the past few years. The depth of connection I felt with the other folks around the dinner table was only possible because of Kate's deft hand, warmth of spirit, and expert guidance. Whenever I attend an Unfine Arts event, I know three things will be true: I'll have at least one deep belly laugh, I'll leave with something chewy to ponder, and I'll experience an opening of the heart. I can't say enough about Kate's skill as a facilitator and goodness as a human being.”

Elizabeth Funk & Cody Phelps, Newlyweds

“Kate is a joy to work with. She is creative, thoughtful, and dedicated. Before our wedding, Kate took the time to meet with us and make sure she understood our intentions of the event, how we wanted our guests to feel, and what was most important to us. She put together an excel document to help us organize our to do list, timelines, and things that needed to be taken/cleaned up. It helped us prepare and helped her know exactly what our plans were. While I was getting ready, several people asked “how do you feel?” And after weeks of anxiety and nervousness about the event going well, in the moment, I honestly felt calm and excited because I knew Kate had it under control.”

Attendee at “The Slaying” Buffy Themed Halloween Scavenger Hunt, October 2021

“Given the group I was going with and my love for Buffy, I thought this would be a fun event — but the organization of it, especially with other businesses — made it really amazing! We had all sorts of different puzzles to solve which gave people in our group with different talents a chance to shine. Really, really fun event.”

Zachariah Matteson, Violinist and member of Invoke

“Kate successfully coordinated two organizations (Invoke and Golden Hornet), four guest judges, and 16 composers (whittled down from ~300 applicants) to put on one of Austin's highly acclaimed ‘classical’ shows, the ‘String Quartet Smackdown,’ three years in a row. Each year, she worked on improving the experience for all involved from facilitating better communication between the ensemble and composers, to navigating live-streaming capabilities to composers not present at the event, to physically producing the entire show at the venue.”
